US-based brand Karakoram specializes in top-quality splitboard and snowboard bindings. Karakoram bindings are suitable for both the hill and off-piste with the brand’s goal to spark a new wave in backcountry innovation.

Karakoram was founded in 2008 in Washington State by two twins who wanted to combine their careers in engineering with their shared passion for being out on the slopes. Dissatisfied with the choice of available splitboard equipment at the time, they were motivated to make the best hardware out there.

Karakoram is passionate about keeping all things local, with nearly all of the brand’s parts sourced from Washington and every binding assembled by hand at their own shop. The company’s employees design their gear and build every product as if it was their own.
