Safe Scootering with Protective Gear for Kids
Scootering is a popular sport among kids, and it's important to provide them with the right protective gear to keep them safe. A scooter helmet and a complete set of protective pads will give your child more confidence and courage to ride by making them less afraid of falling.
If your child frequents skate parks, a few additional safety guidelines can provide a safer environment:
- Parents should remain close to the park but out of the way of riders.
- Belongings, such as bags, bottles, or coats, should not be left on or around the park's obstacles.
- Teach your child not to cut other riders' lines and to respect others' right to ride. If there is a queue to enter a bowl, everyone should wait for their turn.
If your child is eager for more scootering fun, consider building a mini skate park in your backyard. Check out our Scooter Ramps & Rails for inspiration. With the right safety measures in place, your child can enjoy the thrill of scootering while minimizing the risk of injury.
