Make Life Skate Life – A Better World, One Skatepark at a Time

Make Life Skate Life is a non-profit organization that builds skateparks and promotes skateboarding as a positive activity for underserved youth worldwide.

Make Life Skate Life wants to foster physical and mental health through formative communal experiences with skateboarding.

We share their ambition to make a positive impact through skateboarding, and we are proud supporters of Make Life Skate Life.

SkatePro’s Partnership with Make Life Skate Life

Since 2020, SkatePro has supported Make Life Skate Life through our annual Giveback Friday-campaign – this is our way of infusing Black Friday-shopping with a sense of higher purpose.

From 2020 to 2023, SkatePro has donated a total of €58,849 to Make Life Skate Life. We have contributed to the establishment of skateparks in Nepal, Lebanon, Libya, Laos, and Tunisia.

This is what Make Life Skate Life has to say about our collaboration:

“On behalf of the 64,500 youth who visit our skateparks every year, thank you SkatePro! Because of your continued support we have achieved remarkable milestones:

6 new skateparks built around the world; growing from 8 to 14 skateparks!
All 14 locations offer free community skateboarding classes!
14 local skate coaches employed to deliver free classes at skateparks!
Over 120 dedicated builders creating unique skateparks across 5 countries!
13,500 individuals attending skateboarding classes on average each year!

Today, our projects serve disadvantaged youth all year round; including females, displaced people, marginalized groups, and underserved youth from different backgrounds. MLSL’s projects guarantee that youth have access to a community, and a free creative outlet through skateboarding and other sports, while acting as a gateway to a global world of creativity.”

Witnessing the fruits of this collaboration has been a true joy for us, and Giveback Friday has become an event that we look forward to every November – with a deep sense of gratitude towards our customers for making it possible.
