The Alineation Venus Planetary hub works like a freecoaster, but feels and sounds like a cassette hub. It utilizes a Planetary Clutch system that reduces slack drastically. The hub axle is made from hollowed heat-treated 4140 Chromoly while the shell is made from 6061-T6 alloy. This makes it weigh around 30% less than conventional freecoaster hubs without sacrificing any strength or functionality.
