Kiteboard Gear
Fix up Your Kite in no Time
Kitesurfing is a high-speed, high-impact water sport. Even though kiteboard equipment is made from quality, durable materials, there will come a time when you have to replace or upgrade worn-out gear. It’s a good idea to have some spare kiteboard gear before they break and always take spare parts with you to the coast in case of any urgent repairs.
Typical kitesurfing equipment that you will find in this category includes products like bladders and reinforcement fibers. Having a spare valve is also recommended. All valves will become leaky and wear down over time so make sure you have a backup.
Certain brands also offer a full repair kit that contains everything you need in one convenient box.
How Does a Kite Pump Work?
It may not be the most fun task but every kitesurfer has to pump up their kite before they get into the water. Manual pumps are still the most common, but many models give you the option of switching between single and double-stroke inflation so you can instantly switch between high volume, low-pressure inflation to low-volume, high-pressure inflation.
Other things to consider with your pump include getting one with a gauge on top so that you can see the psi you are inflating. Furthermore, many kite kits will come with several nozzles, making sure that there will be one to fit the valve.
If you’re looking for something to store all of your gear, then a convenient way to do this is to get your hands on a Surf Bag.
